The movie is inspiring as well as heart-wrenching.

The Prophet (2014):

The Prophet. It is an animated movie based on the poetry book The Prophet by Khalil Gibran. The graphics of the movie, the dialogue or the lyrics, and the whole plot are a treat for the eyes.

Based on The Color Purple by Alice Walker, this movie explores and depicts the struggles of an African woman, Celie. The movie evokes sadness, misery, and affection just like the novel.

Twelve Years a Slave (2013):

One of my favorite movies based on the book is Twelve Years a Slave. Actually, the movie is based on the memoir of Solomon Northup. The movie revolves around the subject of slavery and oppression. The acting, the plot development, and the cinematic expressions steal the show.

The movie is pretty dark and full of sadness. As the movie fills you with sadness, the beautiful aesthetics of the film fill you with calmness and comfort. If you want to visit the dark history, do give the movie a watch.

Harry Potter (2001-2010):

No one is unfamiliar with the fantasy world created by J. K. Rowling. Yes, I am talking about the Harry Potter series. The series has seven parts and revolves around the life of a wizard, Harry Potter. Not only it is one of the best movies based on the novels but also it welcomes everyone regardless of their age.

There is is a picture of a letter and glasses and is showing one of the movies based on books.

If you are a fiction fan or looking for a series of movies to watch in one go, add Harry Potter to your bucket list.

Wuthering Heights (2009) :

Next on the list of best movies based on books is Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. This is another classic movie. Besides this, the book has multiple movie adaptations, however, I prefer the one made in 2009.

Pride and Prejudice (2005):

Based on the novel by Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice is a classic that has won millions of hearts. The chemistry between Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy is entertaining and the dialogues are no less than music for ears.

You can watch this movie if you are into classic love stories.
