A Short Sad Poem: I Looked For You in Light

This short sad poem comes from the realization: When we are so desperate to fulfill our wishes, we stop looking at the truth and reality.

You are living your best: long-awaited peace sitting beside you, past taking a long break, and a soul that understands you. You feel on cloud nine! You declare yourself the “luckiest” person alive…And just when you believe what could go wrong, you wake up!

Nothing is there but devishish shadows and consequences of your actions!

The peace you thought was sitting beside you turns out to be the dark shadows.

The past that you thought had taken a leave was staring at you silently.

The soul that you thought understood you was merely a thought.

Short Sad Poem: I Looked For You in Light- Poem

When you told me,
“I’m the one who led you into the alley of love.”
I felt a tingling in my stomach.

When your fingers played with my hair
And when your mouth whispered,
“How would I live without you?”
My heart skipped a beat.

When your arms became a haven for me,
and when your eyes smiled
At our union.
You became my whole world.

What a beautiful chaos it was!

That made me forget that you were:
a bubble of my imagination.
a mold of poison in my head.
a figment of a cursed past.
a call to a darker future.

So, when darkness pulled me
I gave up looking for you
because You were the reason I was there.

And when your hands burned
And when your eyes itched
with the warmth of my success,
I gave up looking for you!
