The Silent War

I spent the whole night on thorns

Wishing someone would understand me.

I spent the whole day under the harsh light   

Hoping to understand everything.

 

I spent the next night under the blanket of chilling thoughts

Fighting the urge to cry.

I spent the next day walking on the ashes

Trying to make everything disappear.

 

I spent the day after next trapped in the cage of reason 

To restore my smile.

I spent the night after next giving up to the spell of tears

To let go of all the misery and pain.
