What Do You Name It?

Poem- What Do You Name It?

When you see your daughter lying in a neat coffin:

And a penetrating ache in your body suffocates your beliefs,

And your body wrestles to breathe and breathe,

And the unmoving tears do not blur your present,

And the stinging pain starts to cover your body,

And your brain and body align for the first time to restore the noise inside you,

And your meaningful words scream nothing meaningful.

Then, what do you name it?

Simply,

A slow, silent, and painful death.

This is a picture of a tree covered in fog that reflects the theme of darkness in the poem, What Do You Name It.
