On a Dusky June- A Poem
On a dusky June
Just behind the river,
In a hut, lives Dahlia.
On a dusky June
In a gown embroidered with damning pearls of love,
She keeps on knitting, under a tree.
On a dusky June
Just behind the river,
Dahlia laughs like a thundering cloud,
In the hut, Guarded by the overwhelming loneliness.
On a dusky June
Just behind the river,
The morning breeze enters Dahlia’s house
Just to take away the prevailing sadness.
On a dusky evening
She plays piano,
Until she becomes the melody.
She dances with the withering flowers,
Until the scent of flowers fills her nostrils.
She dances with the wind,
Until she embraces the wind.
Dances with the currents of river,
Until she feels the wave of life in her.
On the dusky June,
Just behind the river,
Lives she, full of life,
Under the tree.
