Before reading the following short poem on success, let me ask you a question: Do you ever feel as if success keeps slipping through your fingers, no matter how hard you try?
If yes, you are not the only one. Many of us grow up accepting that the way to success is very uncertain or unclear. Or that it is non-linear and unstable. But is that the case?
I don’t think so!
I believe that it is always the opposite. The path toward success is usually straight, and we can see it very clearly. Instead, it is our shortcomings, lack of foresight, or wish to have a shortcut that we take different paths only to end up somewhere else…Then follows headache, anxiety, and whatnot.
This poem about success is inspired by the above thought. It’s a reminder that clarity is always there, and it only becomes visible when you want to see it.
Once we stop looking for shortcuts and start facing ourselves with honesty, we start seeing the impacts of persistence, endurance, and passion, and walk with dignity and contentment.
A Short Poem on Success: The Road to Success
It is said that the road to success is uncanny.
But,
what if it’s…
It’s straight.
And it is we who take the wrong turns?
Who stop at the wrong signals?
In turn, we start to:
Struggle
Stammer
And
Hop.
All it takes is
Cloak of confidence
Boots of persistence
And
Glasses of passion
For
The road to success is straight.
